Perros-Guirec
Located in the heart of the Côte de Granit Rose, twenty five miles from the Relais De Launay, Perros-Guirec is an outstandingly beautiful natural site. A grandiose landscape scattered with pink granite rocks weathered over the millennia by sea and wind into amazing shapes and patterns.
Ploumanac'h
A large natural site under the protection of the Conservatoire du Littoral and the commune of Perros-Guirec with impressive agglomerations of pink granite blocks, some of which tower 70-foot high. The Sentier des Douaniers offers spectacular walks in a landscape of pink granite rocks, moorland, gorse and heather.
Seven-Island Archipelago
Rising out of the sea off Perros-Guirec lies the Archipel des Sept îles, the largest bird sanctuary in France. The 100-acre reserve—a veritable ornithological paradise—is home to 27 different species, including 13 species of sea bird—puffins, gannets, shags, small penguins etc. In all, more than 23000 breeding couples. A colony of some 30 grey seals inhabit the archipelago and the surrounding waters, although actually catching sight of them could be a question of luck.
From February to November day-excursions by launch or traditional sailing ship are available.
