"Crêperie Gourmande" label
The Relais de Launay has been awarded the "Crêperies Gourmandes de Bretagne" label :
The strong image of the crêpe reflects our local culture and territory. Crêperies in Brittany are friendly places which have adapted to changes in food habits, although the Club Galette and Crêpe with sugar are still the most traditional dishes served.
Customers like to discover different flavours. Over the past few years, the Crêperie has become the place for trying new, gourmet dishes.
The concept of the Crêperies Gourmandes label
When you walk into a Crêperie Gourmande, you are guaranteed :

- to be welcomed by a crêpe specialist

- to have a wide selection to satisfy your whims (less than 25 % of chocies other than crêpes and galettes on the menu*) ;

- to sample crêpes and galettes cooked to order ;

- to be in an establishment open at least 8 months of the year ;

- to be dealing with an experienced crêpe chef who has extensive knowledge of local produce (a training course is compulsory to obtain the label) ;

- a quality standards approach (the establishment is audited by an independent organisation and has been awarded the Crêperies Gourmandes label for a 3-year period)
*excluding ice-creams and pastries
The aim
The label is awarded for a 3-year period after which the establishment will be audited again.
The "Crêperies Gourmandes" label was created so that professionals could promote their savoir faire, culinary talent and ability to serve and welcome customers to their restaurants, with a quality approach.
The "Crêperies gourmandes" network also encourages productive exchanges between professionals and gives better lisibility to establishements in the tourist industry.
